TRANSPORTATION PROFESSIONAL

Job Summary

Responsible for the timely and safe delivery of our manufactured products and pick-up of company purchases.


Essential Functions

  • Plan delivery/pick-up route and schedule appointments after receiving schedule
  • Confirm count of goods prior to departure
  • Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner
  • Safely operate company owned tractor-trailer complying with DOT and other regulatory guidelines
  • Load and unload goods from truck; check and record any discrepancies
  • Check truck and equipment for safety and proper maintenance
  • Present a good image by representing MISCO in a professional, courteous manner; ensure good customer service
  • Complete proper documentation

  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and ability to drive a tractor-trailer truck
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Driver Training School or equivalent experience
  • Valid, current CDL A license with Hazmat

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. several times per day
  • Ability to climb in and out of tractor/trailer
  • Ability to drive a minimum of 4 hours duration while remaining alert
  • Ability to bend, stand, kneel on a regular basis
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
